I started The Gothic Cottage because I wanted to make a positive impact on the world through my candles.

I then wanted that impact to extend past just creating candles that are better for our health.

As the times continued to devolve and people in the U.S. lost rights — and then quite literally their access to food — I wanted to do something more.

So, from Nov. 1st, 2025 to Jan. 31st, 2026, 20% of all retail purchases at The Gothic Cottage were donated to my local food bank, to help my fellow citizens in these horrible times.

I donated the proceeds to The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri. This local organization provides nutritious, satisfying foods to those experiencing food insecurity in my local community. They serve 100,000 people each month, have shared 22 million meals with people in my area, and have given $72 million in economic relief to my fellow Missourians.

I thank you for joining me on this journey and helping me make the world a better place. All we have in this world is each other and I'm honored to have been able to give in this way to my community, thanks to your support.
